Current happenings

Members were saddened to hear of the passing of Geoff Miller on June 3rd. Geoff was one of our long-serving, stalwart members, an inspirational leader and a warm friend to all. We miss his insights and sense of humour. Bushcare Pearl Beach offers sincere condolences to Nance and Family on their loss.

The June meeting of Bushcare was held on Saturday June 2nd at North Coral Crescent. The Group of 15 tackled weeds from the barrier at North Coral Crescent through to Bitou and Asparagus Fern on the northern side of the beach and a range of weeds within the reserve enclosure. Ann hosted a 3 minute morning tea that was then drowned out by rain. Dunecare continued this effort the following week. Ann hosted a 3 minute morning tea that was then drowned out by rain.

The meeting in July will convene at Paul Landa Reserve at 0900 on 7 July. We will start with a run through of Risk Assessment led by Council. After this, some members may return to the Lagoon while the remainder will stay at Paul Landa. Morning Tea at Paul Landa at 1100.
