Current happenings

The meeting in July at Paul Landa Reserve and on the Lagoon on Saturday the 7th was most successful with 15 people attending and a good clearance of weeds achieved. The meeting also provided the opportunity for Council to establish the baseline Risk Assessment Matrix which will be used as a reference guide during the year.

The next meeting will be convened by Robert Payne at 0900 on Saturday 4th August at North Coral Crescent with morning tea kindly hosted by Malcolm and Vickii Davison. The return to North Coral Crescent is at the recommendation from Council Officers that follow up on this site by Bushcare and the associated work by Dunecare is required to get on top of the weeds on that site.

The September meeting, on Saturday 1st, will be at a venue still to be agreed. However, most importantly it will be followed by a two-hour Chemical Handling Course being presented especially for us. This course will be held in the Progress Hall and is supported by the Progress Association. Morning Tea will be provided.

Bushcare members are asked to nominate for this course direct to Michael cc myself as I will be away from my computer and Council needs to know numbers.
