Pearl Beach on the road to Discovery; a weekend of Fine Music !
The inaugural festival was held over the June long weekend in 1994 and seen at the time to be quite an ambitious venture for the Pearl Beach Progress Association. From the beginning the objective has been to harmonise fine music with the cultural life of Pearl Beach and its unique environment.

Since 1994 the festival has played host to many great and established performers and talented young artists. The earliest players, Charmian Gadd & Friends, Sydney Brass Quintet, Sydney Wind Quintet and the Pergolesi Players set a high standard of performance for all following to emulate. Many have returned and all comment that the Memorial Hall is an ideal venue with its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics.
Roger Murray, President of the Pearl Beach Progress Association invites the community and friends to the Pearl Beach Music Festival – “to celebrate its 20th concert series in 2013”, and continues. “This is a huge and consistent commitment by the Pearl Beach Community to the arts. The Festival also continues to be an occasion that brings our community together to enjoy great music.”
Opening the Festival this year is, The Sydney Omega Ensemble (Trio), three young musicians who redefine Sydney’s classical chamber music landscape.
The Grigoryan Brothers, guitar duo who astound audiences by their virtuosity, making it a night to remember.
David Pereira returns to enthrall audiences with his magnificent cello playing. Accompanied by an outstanding concert pianist, Tamara Anna Cislowska.
The finale, and returning for the third time is Simon Tedeschi this time with jazz pianist Kevin Hunt. Two Pianos will perform an exhilarating program from Bach to Brubeck.

All five of their duo albums have been nominated
for ARIA awards.

David Pereira returns to enthrall us again with his
magnificent cello playing. His accompanist is an
outstanding concert pianist and chamber musician.

‘Expect a spectacular evening of music to fill
the soul’. This year Simon is joined by highly
acclaimed, award winning jazz pianist, Kevin
Hunt. Their program will be exhilarating,
joyous, playful and heartfelt.
