Progress Points

 Patonga Road works: Gosford Council advise the rock stabilisation between the water tower and the hair pin bend are now completed. A geotechnical survey of the lower side of Patonga Drive from the water tower to the toilet block and also the lower side of Mt. Ettalong Rd. from the toilet block to the beginning of the rock platform on Umina Beach has been commissioned. The outcomes of this assessment will form the next stage of rock works in the area.

Rock Pool Fencing: The  fence erected at the base of the cliff at the ocean rock pool is a temporary measure pending a geotechnical report commissioned by Gosford Council to determine the risk of further rock falls. Gosford Council advise that tenders will soon be called for rock stabilisation work on the cliff face adjacent the pool.

Pearl Beach Drive: Work is under way however due to the need for rock stabilisation about the drive, work will be delayed until January 2009 when the remaining culverts will be replaced and re-surfacing will be undertaken.

Upgrade of children’s playground on the beachfront: Work has commenced and is expected to be completed before XMAS. A plan of the proposed work is in the PBPA notice board as well as the Estate Agent and Cafe.
